I’m Jean-Yves Joseph. I’m a comedian and actor working and living in Los Angeles.
His stand-up career began in Nashville, Tennessee where Haiti was introduced to “Roast Master”, Jeff Ross by Comedian, Ralphie May. Haiti then relocated to Los Angeles, California where he often performed and ultimately became a regular on Comedy Central’s Roast Battle as part of The Wave comedy group.
Haiti also graced many of LA’s iconic comedy stages. He won crowds over with his high energy, physical comedic sensibilities and authenticity. His moniker pays homage to his native land of Haiti, while his comedy often highlights his life experiences after arriving in the United States in the early 90’s as a political refugee; learning English, adjusting to a new way of life and officially becoming an American Citizen.
He has also maintained recurring appearances on tv series like All American and the recent Mel Brooks series, History of The World. In addition to comedy and acting, Haiti competes as a multi-medal winning bodybuilder and fitness model.
Haiti focuses on consistently investing in his craft and contributing his talents where he can entertain and inspire.
Two things people throughout history have had in common are hatred and humor. I am proud that I have been able to use humor to lessen people’s hatred.
